Forest Ladies were boosted by a 4-2 cup win over Liverpool

Nottingham Forest manager Lisa Dawkins says her side are feeling confident for their clash with league giants Arsenal on Thursday.

Dawkins told BBC Sport: "We're feeling in a positive frame of mind because we have nothing to lose as we are the underdogs in every league game.

"The players are really excited because this is the match they have been waiting for all their careers."

A sell-out crowd is expected at the 1,500 capacity ground at Carlton Town.

We can't do anymore than go out there and try to play our own type of football

Dawkins' side has been boosted by a 4-2 win over Liverpool in the Premier League Cup on Sunday.

She said: "I'm not going to change anything tactically.

"We've got to deal with Kelly Smith but we can't do anymore than go out there and try to play our own type of football."

Midfielder Danielle Duffy has a metatarsal injury and will be out for at least a month.

"We've got a strong squad and there are people lining up to replace her, so we can deal with that."

Forest Ladies finished champions of the Northern Division and were promoted to the National Premier League in April.

The club has lost four out of four league games since the start of the season.
