Sunderland Ladies showed their male counterparts how it should be done as they defeated Manchester City Ladies 2-0 at the Hetton Centre.
A goal in each half ensured the ladies returned to winning ways, putting them on course to sealing third place in the FA Premier Division North.

Midfielder Natalie Gutteridge wrapped up the win with a header on 51 minutes.
The omens were good for Sunderland early on in Sunday's game. And a bright start almost resulted in a goal when a Steph Bannon free kick was headed wide of the post by Sarah Danby after five minutes play.
Moments later Nicola Devine's surging run through the visiting defence resulted in a fierce shot flashing wide of the post.
City were very competitive, almost grabbing an equaliser after 25 minutes, but the home defence smothered the danger.
City continued to probe but Sunderland remained in total command.
Steph O'Brien went close before Rachel Lee shot just over following a fine link-up between Holmes and Demi Stokes.
In the final minute, great team play resulted in an Emma Bentley strike being tipped around the post.
