Wright revels in career high
Ben Wright is mobbed by his team-mates after his late goal
Viking FK relished their late celebration
Former Bristol City player Ben Wright has described his last-minute goal against Chelsea as the highlight of his career.

The little-known Englishman scored a potentially crucial away goal for Viking Stavangar just before the final whistle in the 2-1 defeat by the Blues in their Uefa Cup first-round tie.

And the Liverpool fan, who moved to Norway with former City boss Benny Lennartsson, admitted he had reached a career high on Thursday.

"This is the biggest moment of my career," said the 22-year-old.

I don't remember much about the goal, I just remember the ball coming across and me jumping
Ben Wright

"I wasn't sure I would even play, so to get on was brilliant and to score the goal was great for the team."

Wright found the back of the net with only seconds remaining of the tie when he headed the ball home from a Peter Kopteff cross.

But he revealed: "I don't remember much about the goal, I just remember the ball coming across and me jumping.

"I saw it hit the back of the net and I looked up at the clock to see how much time was remaining."

His goal marked an otherwise unblemished display by Chelsea.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink opened the scoring for the home side when he cut the ball in from an acute angle.

We are going there to fight and we are going there to score
Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri on the second leg

And the lead was doubled when new signing Enrique de Lucas lobbed Brede Hangeland in Viking's goal.

But Blues Claudio Ranieri was left seething on his two-year anniversary at Stamford Bridge as he saw his side's defence buckle in the dying minutes.

"This is a bad result for us because at home Viking will play better," said the Italian.

"But we are still favourites because Chelsea can play well and score.

"But we are going there to fight and we are going there to score. We know it will be difficult but we are ready."
