York City have agreed to let midfielder Jimmy Beadle leave the club.
The 20-year-old has spent the last month on loan at Unibond Premier League club Whitby Town after having limited chances at York.
It is understood that Whitby want to offer Beadle a permanent deal and he has decided to leave City in favour of regular first-team football.
The decision means Beadle will be available to play for Whitby in their FA Cup tie against Blyth Spartans.
Beadle joined City in January 2008 after a spell in Norway with Steinkjer FK.
He earned an extension to his contract with City following several strong performances at the end of last season.
However his first team involvement this season has been limited to just one unused substitute appearance at Northwich in August.
