Davies played just 40 games in two years for Nottingham Forest

Yeovil Town's hopes of re-signing Welsh midfielder Arron Davies have been thwarted after they were told the registration is against Fifa rules.

The 25-year-old has already appeared for Nottingham Forest and Brighton this season and cannot therefore play competitively for the Glovers.

The rules state than an individual may only play for two clubs in one season.

Davies, who first played at Huish Park between 2004 and 2007 became a free agent in September.
