Leicester will be looking to win their fourth Premiership title in five years |
Exeter Chiefs begin their first season in England's top flight with a home match against Gloucester on the opening weekend of the 2010/11 season. Defending Premiership champions Leicester face East Midlands rivals Northampton at Franklin's Gardens. The annual London double-header pits London Irish against Saracens and pairs Wasps with Harlequins. The dates are yet to be decided apart from the London double-header which is held at Twickenham on 4 September. Elsewhere, Leeds entertain Bath while Sale Sharks host Newcastle Falcons. In the second round of fixtures, Premiership new boys Exeter face a stern test as they travel to Welford Road to play Leicester. Each club has been given a home match on either Boxing Day or New Year's Day next season because of increased crowds over the Christmas break in recent years. The clubs will select their preferred dates and kick-off times and televised matches will be selected during the next week.
