MacDonald enjoyed a one-month loan spell at Huish Park last season
Swansea midfielder Shaun MacDonald has moved to Yeovil on a three-month loan.
The 21-year-old scored twice in four starts in a one-month loan spell with the League One side last season.
"He's an excellent player and someone that can come into the squad and perform to a very high level," Glovers boss Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset.
"Shaun's someone that can get about the pitch, he can be aggressive in the tackle and it was a chance to strike while the iron's hot."
"The beginning of his last loan spell was when we went on that six game unbeaten run," added Skiverton.
"Unfortunately he did a little too well and returned to Swansea's first team and we went on a bit of a slump after that."
MacDonald made his full league debut for his hometown club in 2006/7 and has racked up 35 appearances for the Liberty Stadium side, including three in the Championship this season.
The Wales under-21 skipper can be recalled at any time after the first month of the loan.
He told the Swansea City website: "I enjoyed my time at Yeovil, they looked after me well.
"At my age I need to play, I would love to help Yeovil climb the table after the support and faith they showed in me."
