Yeovil 1-3 Bury

  • Published

Bury claimed their first victory in seven league games as they came from a goal behind to win at Yeovil Town.

Yeovil scored through Kieran Agard's overhead kick, but Giles Coke levelled after a one-two move with Andy Bishop.

Bury went ahead when Liverpool loanee David Amoo powerfully headed home from Peter Sweeney's right-wing corner.

The Shakers sealed the win with a late counter-attack as they quickly cleared a free-kick and Sweeney beat the last defender before finishing easily.

We deserved victory - Barker

"It was more than deserved, right from back to front, every player played a part in that and they (the players) were excellent.

"You're never going to dominate for the whole 90 minutes.

"The result will give everyone a smile on their face for the next week or so and we'll push on in training and go on to the next level."
