Yeovil Town have signed former Bristol City midfielder Scott Murray on a one-year deal.

The 35-year-old Scot made 327 appearances for the Robins in two spells, scoring 92 goals before being released at the end of the season.

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "He's been a very good player at Championship level for a long time.

"He's a very good person to have around the changing room and I know he's going to make a contribution to the team."

Murray started his football career in England with Aston Villa back in 1994 but was unable to establish himself, he joined Bristol City in 1997 where he remained until 2003 when he joined Reading.

The left-sided midfielder's stay was short-lived and nine months later he returned to Ashton Gate for a further five-and-a-half years.

"For us to secure his services, I'm very happy. It's a coup for Yeovil Town," added Skiverton.
