Yeovil manager Russell Slade said he wants to extend the loan of Stockport County centre-half Gareth Owen, with a view to a permanent move in January.
Owen, who began his career with Stoke City, joined the Glovers on a one-month deal in October.
Slade told BBC Radio Somerset: "He's been a steady rock for us.
"We're not conceding too many goals. We need him to score to win a football match at the minute. We are working very hard obviously.
"Hopefully we can get a striker who helps us out a little bit when things are tight who can turn games because that's what it is all about - turning games and getting in front and getting over the line."
The 26-year-old had been set to join Port Vale before he settled on staying in League One with Yeovil.
