Stockport have completed the signing of defender Gareth Owen from League One side Oldham for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Edgeley Park, making 42 appearances for County, and has now signed a two-year contract.
Owen began his career at Stoke and had two loan spells at Oldham - and one at Torquay - before making a �50,000 move to Boundary Park in May 2005.
He made a total of 45 league and cup appearances for the Latics.
