Slade's team had no answer to Middlesbrough's quality
Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade was far from downhearted by the Glovers' Carling Cup defeat at Middlesbrough.
Yeovil were beaten 5-1 despite a first-half goal from Gavin Tomlin.
Slade told BBC Somerset: "They were unfortunate not to win at Liverpool on Saturday - that gives you some idea of the task we faced.
"We had our left side missing without Nathan Smith and Danny Schofield, but we kept going and kept trying to play. We'll look for success at Carlisle."
Mido held off Lee Peltier before firing past Josh Wagenaar to open the scoring.
Didier Digard scored from a 30-yard shot and Jeremie Aliadiere turned on the edge of the box before firing home for a third goal for the Teessiders.
Tomlin then nudged a goal back for the visitors before Marvin Emnes headed in Justin Hoyte's cross and Adam Johnson curled in a fabulous fifth for Boro.
The Glovers boss was pleased with the efforts of loan signings Gary Roberts and James Dayton and some of his less experienced players. Slade said: "We were getting over-run in the centre of midfield and I thought Gary did well in there.
"It wasn't easy for James on the left because Middlesbrough are very strong on that side, and young Andre McCollin did some good work in the half-hour he was on the field."
