Yeovil Town are set to complete the signing of forward Gavin Tomlin, subject to a medical.
Tomlin, 25, played for Fisher Athletic last season and has agreed a two-year-deal after impressing Yeovil boss Russell Slade.
Tomlin told the club's website that he is determined not to squander this opportunity to turn professional.
"This is my third chance at league football and I am not going to let it slip this time," he said.
"I will get my head down and concentrate and make sure that I have a place for the start of the season."
Tomlin, who has previously had spells at both Brentford and Gillingham, already knows some of his new colleagues at Huish Park.
"I knew Lloyd [Owusu] from my time at Brentford and I have known Terrell [Forbes] since I was a young kid," he added.
"All the boys have made me feel welcome and it's a nice club to be honest, so it was an easy decision for me to make."
