Kearney and Wrexham part company

Tom Kearney
Kearney played 15 times last season, but only four times after September

Midfielder Tom Kearney has cancelled his contract with Wrexham by mutual consent with the club.

The former Everton trainee, 28, joined on a two-year deal last summer from Halifax Town and is expected to move to a club in north-west England.

Kearney made 15 appearances for Wrexham last season, but 11 of those came before the end of September.

"I do have one particular club that has offered me a deal, so now I'll try and get that sorted out," said Kearney.

"I've been coaching with the Everton FC academy and I'm working towards my football qualifications," he told the Wrexham website.

"I'm just sorry that it didn't work out better for me and the club, but I have enjoyed my time at Wrexham."
