Tom Kearney will captain Wrexham in their first season in non-league football for 87 years.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been handed the honour by Reds boss Brian Little after last season's skipper Neil Roberts was released.
Former Everton trainee Kearney was signed from Halifax in the summer and will lead Wrexham as they aim to earn promotion back to The Football League.
Little said: "Tom is experienced and knows the league very well."
