Wolves winger Stephen Hunt on target for October return
Stephen Hunt has won 25 international caps for the Republic of Ireland
Stephen Hunt is on course to make his Wolves debut in October after manager Mick McCarthy confirmed the winger's recovery from injury is on schedule.
Hunt, 29, suffered a broken foot whilst with former club Hull City in February.
McCarthy told the club website: "We've got five games coming up and then we get another international break.
"If we get him back after that and he was fit to start, that would be fantastic. I think he's still on target to be ready in October."
Hunt joined Wolves in June for an undisclosed fee from the Tigers, who were relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.
Defender Steven Mouyokolo, who also joined Wolves from Hull in the summer, has resumed full training after picking up thigh and ankle injuries in pre-season.
And boss McCarthy has been further boosted by the news that Steven Fletcher and Jelle Van Damme should both be fit enough to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday after overcoming knocks.
Record signing Fletcher was withdrawn from the Scotland squad to face Liechtenstein on Tuesday to aid his recovery from a foot injury, which he sustained in Wolves' opening-day victory over Stoke.
Meanwhile, Belgium defender Van Damme had been struggling with an ankle injury suffered in the same match, although he did start Wolves' last Premier League game against Newcastle.
