Steve Morgan wants Wolves to sign quality, not quantity

Wolves chairman Steve Morgan has assured supporters that the club will be looking to add quality players to the squad in the summer.

Wolves made 11 signings during their first season in the Premier League and comfortably avoided relegation.

Morgan told BBC WM: "It's a lot to absorb for a football club at any one time and once you're established it's a case of gently adding to it.

"It's about raising the quality, rather than making wholesale additions."

Wolves, who won the Championship title in 2009, have spent around £16m on new signings since their promotion to the top-flight.

Morgan added that the club are prepared to spend more on transfer fees and wages in an attempt to attract a better standard of player to Molineux.

"We've been in the Premier League for a full year and we've had to deal with all of those issues at the start of last season, so we're used to it," he said.
