A Wolves reserve side featuring trialist Bobo Balde beat Crewe Alexandra 1-0 on Wednesday evening.
The former Celtic defender is trying to prove his fitness to Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, who says he will not rush to decide Balde's future.
Scott Malone scored the only goal after 37 minutes at the Alexandra Stadium.
Wolves also fielded Hungarian international defender Zoltan Szeiesi, who plays for Racing Club Strasbourg in the French second division.
