Iwelumo's first goal since November was against his former club

Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo has spoken of his relief and delight at scoring for the first time since November in the 2-1 win over Charlton on Saturday.

Iwelumo told BBC WM: "It's always nice to get a goal and I'm delighted to be back on the scoresheet.

"We've got seven games to go, we've just got to stay confident, keep playing our football and we'll achieve something special."

Wolves' victory means they are now 10 points clear of third-placed Reading.

But Iwelumo is predicting more nerve-wracking matches in the remainder of the season, particularly at Molineux.

"Teams come and close up shop and are happy to go away with a point," he said.

"There's three more home games and it'll be exactly the same, a scrappy affair, but I'm buzzing with the result."
