Jones has scored twice since joining Wolves from Derby in the summer
Wolves midfielder David Jones has said manager Mick McCarthy has high demands of his Championship topping side.
Jones, who joined the club in the summer from Derby, said the players will look to maintain their standards.
"The manager doesn't want us to take our foot off the pedal, every day in training he's on at us to keep on improving," Jones told BBC WM.
"He irons out the mistakes from the previous game because it is a really tough league to get out of."
Victory over Burnley at Molineux stretched Wolves' lead at the top of the Championship to six points over faltering Birmingham City.
"We're playing really well, we're starting to get on a good run again like we were earlier in the season," added Jones.
"Burnley came here and we beat them comfortably so it just shows it's a good team to be part of and I'm enjoying it."
The former Manchester United trainee has also been impressed by the early showings from on-loan defender Michael Mancienne, who has joined the club from Premier League leaders Chelsea.
"I knew before he came to the club he was a quality player, seeing him in his first two starts against Cardiff and Burnley he's a really good addition to the squad and he's done really well.
"Neill Collins was doing really well too, there's Shacks [Jason Shackell] and Jody Craddock is coming back, so we've got strength-in-depth and there's competition for places.
