Wolves winger Matt Jarvis is hoping to play some part in the Birmingham Senior Cup tie at Stourbridge next week as he continues his comeback from injury.
Jarvis, 22, who pulled his hamstring against Reading in September, was expected to be out for three months.
But he is set to return to action on Tuesday and told the club website: "Hopefully I can get a run-out.
"I've been training with the Under-16s and it will be nice just to get out on a pitch again in a game environment."
He continued: "The last few days have all been about getting back into football training again because it's obviously different to the running and ball work you do with the physios.
"Every day I feel like I've been getting closer and the younger lads have been good to me in training - no-one's clattered me yet."
