McNamara has just returned to Wolves' reserves |
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jackie McNamara has played down reports that he is poised to return to Celtic after just a season at Molineux. McNamara has returned to action with Wolves' reserves after six months out with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
And he told his club website: "I have just bought a house in the area.
"I have got a contract at Wolves for another season and I am concentrating on getting back to full fitness and maybe playing some part this season."
McNamara, who has made just nine appearances for Wolves after ending his nine-year spell with Celtic in acrimonious circumstances, had also been linked with Hibernian and former club Dunfermline Athletic.
But Wolves insist that there have been no enquiries from Hibs or the Pars.
McNamara's agent, Darren Jackson, also described the newspaper reports as "nonsense".
Jackson told BBC Sport that McNamara was happy with the team chasing promotion to the English Premiership.
