Allen had been in charge of Brentford for just over two years |
Milton Keynes Dons have announced that former Brentford boss Martin Allen is their new manager. Allen, who has also managed Barnet, resigned after taking Brentford to the League One play-off semi-finals for the second successive year.
The Dons have been without a boss since the departure of Danny Wilson last month after their relegation to League Two on the final day of the season.
Wilson had kept the club up in 2004/05 but could not repeat the feat in May.
Six people were shortlisted for the job from 100 applicants.
