West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid on a one-month loan deal.
The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international goes straight into the Baggies squad to face QPR on Saturday.
Injuries have limited versatile Reid to just 44 appearances for Blackburn during the last four seasons.
Boss Roberto di Matteo told the club website: "We have been looking to strengthen our squad for the final push and Steven certainly fits the bill."
He added: "He's a versatile player with loads of experience.
"We've had some great references about Steven so hopefully he'll perform at the level we expect him to."
Reid has made 10 appearances for Rovers this season, and also featured twice during a loan spell at QPR.
The former Millwall man played in the 2002 World Cup but his last international appearance came in September 2008.
