West Brom winger James Morrison thrilled with return
Morrison made 29 Premier League starts for Albion last season
West Bromwich Albion's James Morrison has told of his delight after returning from a long injury lay-off last month.
The 23-year-old Scotland midfielder spent 10 months on the sidelines after complications with a heel problem.
"It's very pleasing and I'm buzzing at the moment," Morrison told BBC WM. "One of the physios who worked with me said I'm like a different person.
"When you're at home for three months, sitting on your sofa with a tube hanging out of you, it's not nice."
He continued: "I did get a bit depressed, it's been hard [to get back to fitness] but I'm just glad that I've come out of the other side of it and I'm stronger for it."
Morrison made his comeback in the FA Cup fifth round replay against Reading on 24 February, and then set up the third goal for Simon Cox in the Baggies' 3-1 home victory over Derby County three days later.
Having undergone three operations and gone through several months of rehabilitation, Morrison has admitted he is keen not to stretch himself too early and risk picking up another injury.
"I'm not going to get carried away, I've been out for a long time," added the former Middlesbrough winger.
"I've learnt to be a bit more sensible after this injury, because I was playing through injury and at the end of it, it put me out for a long time.
"I'll try and be sensible, build myself back up and hopefully get back in [the starting line-up] some time soon."
