Morrison joined Albion from Middlesbrough in August 2007
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray says he is not expecting an improved bid for James Morrison and thinks a move to Bolton would not benefit him.
Albion have already rejected a 3m offer from Bolton for the midfielder.
Mowbray told BBC WM: "He's simply not for sale and is very much part of our future plans.
"Any bid for James, or any other of our players, will be put to one side. With respect to Bolton, I don't think they could offer him anything we couldn't."
The 23-year-old Scotland international has been one of the Baggies' most consistent performers despite their struggles in the Premier League this season and Mowbray insists his key players will not be leaving.
"We're trying to build a club here not break one up and if anyone does leave it will be because they haven't had the opportunity to play as much football as they'd like," Mowbray said.
We're in discussions with a few clubs over players and I think new faces on the training ground gives everyone a lift

"At this moment the young players are at the right place. We are helping them and they are helping us to make sure we stay in this league."
With the transfer window closing on 2 February, Mowbray is expecting to make several deals but is adamant they will not involve their best players.
"I don't think it matters about improved offers [for Morrison] but I would hope Bolton would do their business in a quieter way and, if there is another bid, it wouldn't become as public as this first one.
"We're in discussions with a few clubs over players and I think new faces on the training ground gives everyone a lift.
"I wouldn't be sitting here crying if we didn't bring anyone in but I want to add another two more."
