James Morrison will be fully assessed when he returns from Scotland
West Brom midfielder James Morrison has damaged a medial knee ligament which may keep him out for up to six weeks.
Morrison, 22, ruled out of Scotland's friendly with Argentina on Wednesday, will be assessed later in the week.
WBA boss Tony Mowbray said: "James has tweaked his medial knee ligament. I hope it's not too bad. Worst case scenario is he's out for 4-6 weeks."
Meanwhile, striker Roman Bednar has been called into the Czech Republic squad to face San Marino.
Bednar now faces a flight to Italy for the World Cup qualifier in Serraville on Wednesday night (1930 GMT).
But Albion's veteran keeper Dean Kiely has withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad for the friendly with Poland after jarring a wrist in training.
As for Morrison, he was forced off in the 59th minute of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Chelsea, while Abdoulaye Meite was replaced as a precaution in the 69th minute following his return from a lengthy calf injury.
