West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of South Korean international midfielder Do-heon Kim for �550,000.

Kim, 25, joined the Baggies on loan from Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma in January and the club have exercised their option of making the deal permanent.

"He's got undoubted talent and I'm looking forward to working with him next season," said boss Tony Mowbray.

Albion have also extended the loan of goalkeeper Michal Danek from Viktoria Plzen until 1 January 2009.

Kim made only one start for Albion as the Baggies won the Championship title but came off the bench six times, scoring his first goal for the club in the final game of the season against QPR.

"His loan spell was all about settling in to a new club and culture," added Mowbray.

"The four months he has already spent with us will have been a big benefit to him in terms of integrating with the squad and overcoming the language barrier.

"He'll have a more significant part to play next season."

But Mowbray has confirmed he will not be pursuing a permanent deal for central defender Bostjan Cesar following the completion of his season-long loan from Marseille.

The Slovenia international made 24 appearances for the Baggies during their promotion campaign, scoring once.
