Watford could be on the verge of losing record signing Nathan Ellington after confirming talks are underway with Derby over a possible transfer.
The 26-year-old joined the Hornets for £3.25m from West Bromwich Albion less than a year ago, but he scored only four goals last season.
In total Ellington started 21 games with 17 substitute appearances as Watford failed to win promotion.
If the deal goes through he will link up with his ex-Wigan boss Paul Jewell.
