Puncheon started his career at MK Dons

Milton Keynes Dons have secured Plymouth midfielder Jason Puncheon on a season-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old played 29 matches for the Dons last season during a previous loan spell with the League One club.

Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock said: "I couldn't promise Jason a regular game and I thought it was appropriate that he went out on loan."

Puncheon moved to Plymouth from Barnet for £250,000 in 2008 and subsequently went to the Dons in October.

Sturrock added: "It made sense (for Jason to join MK Dons). They are nice people, they've looked after him and I am pleased he has got a home where he will get regular football."
