Walsall keeper Jimmy Walker ready for survival mission
Jimmy Walker signed a short-term deal with Walsall on Friday
Goalkeeper Jimmy Walker has said helping Walsall escape the League One relegation zone is his motivation for returning to the Bescot Stadium.
The Saddlers dropped to the foot of the table following their narrow 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield on Saturday.
"No one likes to see it and that's part of the reason why I wanted to come back," the 37-year-old told BBC WM.
"From what I've seen, the lads have got far too much to be where they are, but the league table's there for a reason."
Walker continued: "It's a results business and we've got to dig in again now.
"We need a bit of luck to go our way, maybe nick a 1-0 and there's no better time to do that than on Tuesday night [against Peterborough].
"If we can nick something, we can push from there and start climbing the table."
Walker, making his second debut for the Saddlers, was unhappy with the goal that he conceded at the Galpharm Stadium.
Anthony Pilkington's long-range effort gave 10-man Huddersfield victory, having earlier had striker Alan Lee sent off for violent conduct.
"It was a good strike but I thought it was going well wide. It was a bit sloppy from me and I'm disappointed with it because I should have seen it out," said the former West Ham keeper.
Walsall are five points from safety in League One, having lost eight of their last 11 matches.
