Walsall goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks after having a scan on his hamstring injury.
The examination revealed a slight tear, suffered during the first half of the weekend win over Exeter City.
Gilmartin's misfortune gives Clayton Ince the opportunity to re-establish himself as the Saddlers' number one.
The Trinidad & Tobago international lost his place to the Irishman during the September international break.
Ince is expected to go straight into manager Chris Hutchings' line-up for Saturday's game at Colchester.
