Byfield has scored 89 league goals in his career so far
Walsall forward Darren Byfield believes that promotion is a possibility if the team increase their consistency in League One.
The Saddlers are 15th in the table, largely because of a shaky home record, with just one win from six matches.
"Three or four wins would put us close to automatic, so it's consistency to be honest," Byfield, 33, told BBC WM.
"Some games we haven't been so good but we have picked up the three points, it's all about getting those points."
The former Villa striker is in his second spell at the Banks' Stadium after signing a short-term contract in September, and has already added three goals to the 17 he scored for the club at the start of the decade.
"If we fall below 100 per cent it's not going to be good enough," Byfield said of the current squad.
"We have to give our all every game, we have to fight. If we do we'll have a good season."
