Walsall have signed Manchester City defender Clayton McDonald on a one-month loan deal.
McDonald, the son of former Saddlers striker Rod, has progressed through the youth teams at City and has captained the reserves.
The 20-year-old told the Walsall website: "I can't wait to get started. I'm really buzzing and want to show people what I can do.
"There are some good lads here and I can only learn from them."
Manager Chris Hutchings said: "He's a talented young lad. He's strong in the air, tackles well and can play.
"Having played alongside his dad here back in 1990, I know all about his background and what he is about."
McDonald will hope to make his debut as the Saddlers take on Bury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.
