Winger Till had a loan spell at Chesterfield last season
Walsall have signed former Birmingham City winger Peter Till on a free transfer, following a successful trial.
Till never featured for the Blues first-team, he joined Grimsby in 2007 and spent part of last season on-loan at League Two side Chesterfield.
The 23-year-old was released in May and has now signed a one-year deal at the Banks's Stadium.
Till told Walsall's website: "To be at my hometown club gives me an extra incentive to do well."
The Saddlers have now signed five players this summer, with manager Chris Hutchings still considering whether to offer a deal to trialist Jamie Vincent.
The former Bournemouth defender, 34, is likely to play in Saturday's home friendly against West Bromwich Albion.
