Ince was at Tuesday's opponents Crewe for six years
Walsall goalkeeper Clayton Ince believes that his side can reach the League One play-offs, despite sitting 10 points off the top six.
The Saddlers lost 2-0 to Southend on Saturday - their first defeat in seven.
However Ince told WM the team are now enjoying their football under boss Chris Hutchings, who has lost just three of 11 games since taking charge.
"The guys are positive, we're playing with some confidence. There's no reason why we can't get there," he said.
Ince has kept three clean sheets in his last four home league games, a statistic he will hope to improve when his former club Crewe Alexandra travel to the Banks's Stadium on Tuesday.
"It's always special [facing a former club] and you always want to give a good performance," he said.
Ince's former club have thrived under the guidance of new manager Gudjon Thordarson.
The former Stoke City manager has led Crewe to seven wins in 11 league games, lifting Crewe from bottom of League One to 19th in the table.
Despite Crewe's recent revival, Ince is confident that Walsall can win their 10th home league match of the season.
"We are looking forward to it and the guys will show what they're made of to get the result," he said.
