Darren Wrack leaves Walsall after 383 games and 52 goals
Managerless Walsall have released nine players including the long-serving duo Darren Wrack and Ian Roper.
Wrack spent ten seasons at the Banks's Stadium, while Roper has been almost a fixture for 13 years and 379 games.
Midfielder Michael Dobson is also leaving, along with top scorer Tommy Mooney and midfielder Edrissa Sonko.
Second choice goalkeeper Bertrand Bossu is not being offered a new contract, while David McDermott, Alassane N'Dour and Stefan Moore are also released.
"We would like to thank each and every player for their hard work and effort," said Walsall's chief executive Roy Whalley.
"We would especially like to thank Darren Wrack and Ian Roper for their service to the football club.
"Some difficult decisions have been made as we look to develop a squad capable of making further progress at this level and build on the foundations that have already been laid."
