James Brown's stoppage-time goal ensured Hartlepool came from two goals down to clinch a draw at Walsall.
Tommy Mooney set Michael Dobson free for the Saddlers' first and in a role reversal scorer turned provider as Mooney scored Walsall's second.
Michael Mackay halved the lead when he struck home a Ritchie Humphreys cross.
Hartlepool had the better of the second half but they had to wait until the dying seconds for the equaliser when Brown converted David Foley's cross.
