Tranmere keeper Warner warns against complacency

Tranmere keeper Tony Warner says Rovers must not fall back into the League One relegation zone, after Saturday's 1-0 win over Colchester.

Rovers lie 18th, but are still just three points clear of trouble.

Warner told Radio Merseyside: "It's in our own hands but I wouldn't like to say we're not concerned.

"You can slide in there very easily. We've got 10 games left and there's 30 points up for grabs. We're going to try to get as many points as we can."

Warner was also full of praise for striker Enoch Showumni, whose winner at the weekend was his 11th goal of the season.

"He's very important," said the 36-year-old. "He breaks things up and a lot of times he's up there on his own - he's a strong player."

Warner added: "It was an important goal because sometimes in these games you don't get many opportunities because it's scrappy and up in the air, so when we get a nice clear chance we're just glad we've got someone who can put it away."

Tranmere do not play now until Monday, 28 March when they travel to Oldham Athletic, and Warner says it is important to make good use of the break.

"I think we've got to utilise it and make sure we're nice and fresh for Oldham," he said.
