Tranmere's Enoch Showunmi welcomes return of Jennings
Jennings scored his first Rovers goal against Bristol Rovers in September
Tranmere striker Enoch Showunmi hopes the return of young forward Dale Jennings can help propel Rovers up the League One table.
Jennings, 18, has been out for a month with a groin injury.
Showunmi told BBC Radio Merseyside: "A lot of teams were starting to fear him and trying to stop him. That's a compliment to him as a young lad.
"So maybe he can be our secret weapon coming back into the team, frightening defenders with his pace and power."
Tranmere are just three points above the relegation zone in League One ahead of Saturday's game with Colchester and are without a win in their last seven matches.
Showunmi insists it is a situation the players are fully aware of, but says they are not concentrating on the teams below them.
"It's in our hands at the moment, so it's about us and what we do in each game," added the 28-year-old.
"If we're picking up points and winning games we don't need to look behind us really.
"We're going to go into every game thinking we can win. I guess by the time the end of the season comes we'll know whether we've done our job."
