Thomas-Moore was Tranmere's top scorer last season with 15 goals
Striker Ian Thomas-Moore wants to stay at Tranmere, according to Rovers boss Les Parry.
There has been speculation the 33-year-old may leave after reported interest from League Two side Rotherham.
"It looks like it's 70-30 that he is going to stay with us which is good news," Parry told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"I had a chat with Ian and he doesn't want to leave us. So, I think he is going to agree to the second year that we've offered him."
Parry added: "Hopefully, once he's signed on the dotted line, if he does, he'll be able to relax again and be able to get back into his normal game. It will be like having a player that is lifted."
The Rovers boss must now decide whether to re-appoint Thomas-Moore as captain for the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge, after the armband was given to midfielder John Welsh amid doubts about the striker's future.
