Parry had the full support of the fans to get the job full time
Tranmere Rovers manager Les Parry has signed a new one-year contract to stay on at Prenton Park.
The former Rovers physio saved the club from relegation to League Two after taking charge following the sacking of John Barnes in October.
"His aim when he took over as manager was to keep the club in League One," said Rovers chairman Peter Johnson.
"He was successful and I look forward to seeing the changes he'll make to the playing squad ahead of the new season."
Johnson added: "Les has transferred his undoubted skills as a physiotherapist into management extremely well.
"He has taken to the role with the level of dedication and commitment typical of his work during his career at the club."
I really enjoyed my first eight months in the position and can't wait for the next season to begin

Parry, who had been the club's physiotherapist since 1993, took over as manager with Rovers third from bottom of the division on just seven points from 11 games.
But he led his team to 12 league wins and eight draws over the rest of the season.
Rovers' 3-0 win over Stockport on the final day of the season meant the club stayed in League One, finishing in 19th place.
"I'm really pleased that the chairman and board of directors have shown their faith in me by asking me to continue as manager," said Parry, whose backroom staff is still to be finalised.
"I really enjoyed my first eight months in the position and can't wait for the next season to begin.
"I'd like to thank the fans for their support since I took over, especially on the final day of the season at Stockport."
