Tranmere forward Andy Robinson wants win over Stockport
Robinson scored his first goal for Rovers against Millwall on Saturday
Tranmere Rovers forward Andy Robinson is hopeful that they can beat Stockport and avoid relegation from League One.
Rovers need to better Exeter's result on Saturday to stay in the division.
"This club deserves League One and it's a League One club. We'll pull together and get the result we need," he told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"It's been there for years and I'm sure we can do it. Hopefully a few results will go our way and we'll still be League One."
Robinson was the Tranmere hero when he scored a delightful 25-yard drive to complete the 2-0 victory over promotion-chasing Millwall at Prenton Park on Saturday.
The 30-year-old, on loan from Leeds, says he would like to repeat his exploits but understands the result is far more important.
"I'd like the three points more than anything but if I get the chance to score another goal it doesn't matter how I score it - I'll be happy," Robinson continued.
"The 11 players were magnificent against Millwall and I think that was there for you to see. It shows the fighting spirit the club has got and it was a great performance and a well deserved performance.
