Tranmere boosted their chances of staying in League One with a superb win over promotion-chasing Millwall.
The Lions could have gone second but still have a chance of automatic promotion after Charlton beat Leeds.
Rovers went ahead on the stroke of half-time when Ian Thomas-Moore scored from the spot after he was adjudged to have been tripped by Paul Robinson.
On-loan Leeds midfielder Andy Robinson secured the victory after the break with a fine 25-yard strike.
The result moves Tranmere level on points with Exeter heading into next week's final round of fixtures.
And despite the setback, the Lions are still just one point behind Leeds.
Next Saturday they entertain Swindon, who are level on points with them, and a win for either side would see them promoted if Leeds fail to win their game against Bristol Rovers.
The first half saw few clear chances although Shaleum Logan went close for Tranmere and Steve Morison, Neil Harris, Jimmy Abdou and Chris Hackett all missed the target for Millwall.
But the home side had the better of things after Thomas-Moore's penalty sent Millwall keeper David Forde the wrong way.
Substitute Lewis Grabban headed wide from a 57th-minute corner for the visitors with his first touch when he should have done better.
But Robinson's strike settled the home side's nerves on 66 minutes and Millwall barely threatened in the closing stages.
Millwall boss Kenny Jackett told BBC London 94.9:
"I was disappointed today. I didn't think we played very well.
"We've now gone to Yeovil, Huddersfield and Tranmere, which were 3 key games and we haven't done enough.
"The first half was probably our best spell and after their goal we really ran out of ideas, it's a big frustration."
