Moore's side need three points to guarantee a play-off place
Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore is delighted his players will have their play-off hopes in their own hands when they face Scunthorpe on Saturday.
"I've got nothing but praise for them," Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"We've clawed all those points back on Scunthorpe and we've given ourselves a fighting chance. So we've been brilliant and I've nothing but praise."
Scunthorpe trail Rovers by a point with a game in hand, but victory over the Iron will secure Rovers' play-off spot.
Moore added: "A month ago no-one could see that, as [Scunthorpe] were seven points ahead with two games in hand."
Rovers gave themselves the chance through a 1-1 draw with Yeovil on Saturday but needed Anthony Kay's equaliser to secure a crucial point.
"At 1-0 down we were snookered," Moore said. "But we've got our selves back into it, we've lifted ourselves and we've got 90 minutes to go against Scunthorpe - no matter what they do in midweek.
"If we had won against Yeovil we'd still have to win there. So hopefully we can do it."
