Tranmere have handed professional contracts to young midfielders Ash Taylor and Ryan Fraughan until 2010.

Taylor, 18, is a Wales under-19 international and has played regularly in the reserves this season along with Liverpool-born Fraughan, 17.

"They are good players with a lot of ability," youth coach Shaun Garnett told the club website.

"They need to continue their good work and I'm sure the chance to impress the fans will come their way."
