Gulls recall Todd from Salisbury

Chris Todd
Todd has been called back early from his loan stay at Salisbury City

Torquay United have recalled central defender Chris Todd from his loan spell at Salisbury City.

The 27-year-old has made eight appearances on loan at Salisbury since joining them on an initial one-month deal at the start of February.

It was extended by another month with a 24-hour recall as he looks to regain his match fitness having been diagnosed with leukaemia late last year.

Todd last played for the Gulls at Forest Green in September.

He suffered a groin injury in that match which led to surgery. It was as he was recovering from the operation that he learnt that he had contracted leukaemia.

Todd leaves Salisbury on a high, having helped them to go seven games unbeaten in the Blue Square Premier.
