The Gulls lost 3-2 on penalties to Conference South side Eastleigh after a goalless draw in 90 minutes.

Kevin Nicholson, goalkeeper Martin Rice and Lee Mansell missed the spot kicks for Torquay.

The Gulls must wait for the outcome of Crystal Palace's match with Bideford to see if they make the semi-finals.
