Ian Atkins was left disappointed after losing 5-2 at Peterborough in what is expected to be his final game as Torquay United's manager. Former Czech Republic defender Lubos Kubik is expected to take over, with Atkins set to be director of football.
"The chairman has his ideas and wants to do things his way," Atkins said.
"But certain comments made during the week have had an effect on the players. I'm not the sort of manager who makes excuses, but I think we had one."
