Torquay have signed much-travelled former Newcastle striker Paul Robinson on a short-term contract. The 26-year-old, who has made 137 league appearances for 10 different clubs, was a free agent after being released by York City in the summer.
His arrival follows the loan capture of Huddersfield full-back Anthony Lloyd.
Meanwhile, 20-year-old midfielder Nick Skinner has agreed a settlement on the remainder of his Plainmoor contract and is expected to join a local side.
Robinson is cup-tied and will not be available for Saturday's FA Cup first round tie against Harrogate Town.
